Sending Christmas Cards

Etiquette involved in Sending Christmas Cards

To do this properly, you should send Christmas cards to the client’s business address unless you know the person socially. If you are sending a card to their home address, you should include the spouse’s name if there is one.

The important thing in sending business Christmas cards is that you need to be sure to send them in time for them to get them during the holiday season a preferably early in the week before Christmas or even the week before if Christmas falls early or midweek as people tend often to take off early before Christmas, especially if they are traveling and you want them to get your Christmas cards before the go away for the holidays.

With mail being unpredictable around Christmas time, I would recommend mailing them no later than Dec. 15th locally or nationally. Sending them out by that date should work for most locations, but if sending them from coast to coast, you might want to aim for Dec. 10 to avoid faster shipping costs and still get them there in plenty of time. If you’re sending business Christmas cards internationally, you will need to plan ahead much sooner.
