If you want a more artistic photo Christmas card, a simple way to achieve that look is by using a black and white photo. This is something that adds a timeless classic look to your card.

This can make your card look more dramatic. Either you can take the picture in black and white (digital cameras sometimes have a setting so you can take a photo in black and white). Or you can change change the picture in Photoshop or another photo editing software.

Look at this example of a dramatic picture of a father kissing his baby. You can see how quickly an ordinary picture can become timeless just by using a black and white photo.

I remember taking black and white pictures of my nephews while they played at the playground. The pictures are now family heirlooms. It’s almost impossible to tell what decade they were taken in.
