We just got back in from our big family vacation in Door County, Wisconsin and had the best time yet. We did so many great things including golf, pottery making, and charter fishing. I’ve talked about a few of these things in previous posts, but the one I want to talk about today, which will make a great photo Christmas card, is the charter fishing trip we went on at Lake Michigan.

This is the second time we’ve done this and it definitely was better the second time. We were on a much bigger boat and caught more fish. The best part was at the end, when the captain took a picture of all of us with the fish we’d caught. The thought was going through my mind, “I can’t wait to share this experience with fellow photo Christmas card readers.” A fishing excursion is a great opportunity to take pictures for photo Christmas cards.

We took pictures sitting around waiting for fish to bite. Luckily there weren’t too many taken because the fish started biting right away (at 5:05 a.m.). We also took quite a few pictures as my little brother pulled in his first King Salmon. It was the biggest fish he’d ever caught - about 13 pounds. He was really excited.
