Christmas Chocolate Warm Up
With the exception of some of our southern friends, we are all chilled to the bone come December. What better way to warm someone up than with chocolate and a photo christmas card?
Chocolate has long been a favorite of sweets-lovers everywhere. And in the winter, it is awesome paired with warm milk, also known as hot chocolate…
Hot chocolate was originally created in Mexico and was served unsweetened. Different flavors, like vanilla, cinnamon and even spicy chilies were added for variation.
If you know you have a true hot chocolate aficionado or serious foodie, you could try creating a Mexican hot chocolate gift. But for most folks, the sweet version will be a better fit.
Here’s what you will need:
A nice mug to hold the makings of the gift
Pre-packaged hot chocolate powder or cocoa powder
Small baggies
Marshmallows
If you want to use the pre-packaged cocoa powder, simply scoop a few scoops into a baggie with a strong closure, put that into your mug, add a baggie of marshmallows, a candy cane for effect and voila!
If you want to use cocoa powder instead, you might consider adding a recipe that tells the recipient how much sugar, milk, etc, will be needed to make the hot chocolate from scratch.
For either gift, consider purchasing colored cellophane to bundle around the mug, adding a festive ribbon to hold in place.
This is an affordable, yummy gift that shows you care enough to send chocolate!
