OK, I am breaking from my usually scheduled affordable and cool things to make for Christmas gifts (with accompanying personalized Christmas Cards) to tell you about this cute idea for ghostly candy.

This craft is specifically created with the kids in mind. Creating crafts to hand out on Halloween helps kids feel involved and valued. And as a bonus, you get the chance to take pictures of your kiddos doing something fun and unusual, which could later result in a photo gift to the grandparents. ( you knew I would work the crafty chrismas gift in, didn’t you?)

You will need:

1 bag of round suckers

1 box of tissues (not the kind that have lotion on them!)

yarn

black marker

Place each sucker in the center of the tissue and cover. Use yarn to secure tissue in place by wrapping at base of sucker. Use black marker to add eyes and “O” shaped mouth. Repeat until you have a bowl full of ghostly sweets.

The importance of this holiday, and the ones to come, is to spend quality time together with people we love. The days themselves will come and go, but our family memories we will treasure for ever.
