Create a Scented Bath Bubbles as a Holiday Gift
Pair a personalized Christmas card with home-crafted bath bubbles, and you have an amazing gift! This is one of those cool gifts that you can make in batches and use as gifts for co-workers or neighbors.
Bath bubbles, and cosmetics in general, have a long history. First used in ancient Greece, essential oils were used in soaps, lotions and baths. Think about the last time you slowed down long enough to enjoy a bath, and you will realize why bubbles will be a most welcome gift!

Here’s how you make the bubbles:
one cup of unscented body soap
2-3 cups filtered water
10 drops of lavender essential oil
Combine, and, using a funnel, pour into pretty containers, decorated with a bow.
This is the easiest method…there are other ways to make bubble bath that involve melting castille soap in warm water. That may be something to explore if you a) have extra time and b) want to impress someone who would know the difference…read: Martha Stewart.
Other options include adding scented oils, like coconut or almond, to create scent as well as moisturize. Also, remember that essential oils can be harsh if used directly on the skin, so only use as much as needed.
It will be fun to experiment with different scents for different reasons. You might make a soothing tropical blend with coconut oil, even coconut milk, and lime. Or an energizing blend with eucalyptus, rosemary and bergamot.
Whatever you use, your gift will be greatly appreciated because you took the time to create something special for someone important to you.
