I’m in Door County, Wisconsin this week for a family vacation so many of my thoughts will be about how to tie in photo Christmas cards to the best family vacation destination - Door County, Wisconsin.

There are so many things to do here: from boating and sailing on Kangaroo Lake near The Rushes resort, to biking with your family around Peninsula State Park, Door County is a great place to take pictures for a photo Christmas card.

While we were out on the lake today, we took tons of pictures of my 2 and a half year old and his cousin, who is almost 4. They rode behind our boat on a huge innertube. I know, I’ll bet you think I’m crazy for letting little kids do such a thing; however, my spouse and my in-law were riding right with them. We probably took about 50 to 60 fun shots of our kids having a great time.

The whole time I took pictures I thought about a great photo Christmas card collage. It will be perfect and definitely catch the attention of friends who know us well. They’ll think, “What in the world are they thinking letting their 2 year old out there on the water?” Photo Christmas cards can definitely be an attention getter to friends who you haven’t seen for some time. Then there’s the family members - my son’s grandparents on my side will have a fit. I’ll sure get a talking to when they see our fun filled action shots.

There will be much more to talk about tomorrow. What will we do next in Door County? What fun pictures will we create for our next photo Christmas card?
