Imagine, you’re minding your own business when all of a sudden a helicopter flies by and the next thing you know you’re being bombed with flower petals. Well, that’s what happened to some newlyweds a couple Easters ago during their outdoor wedding in Hawaii, at the precise moment they were exchanging their vows. One would think it was planned, but it turned out to be as much of a surprise for the newlyweds as it was for the guests.

Apparently it was all the Easter Bunny’s fault. For many years now, some resorts in Hawaii hold massive annual Easter egg hunts. The resort near the wedding happened to be one of them. Each year this resort has the helicopter fly over and drop tons of flower petals over the anxious crowd. The kids get a kick out of it. The helicopter then lands and none other than the Easter bunny jumps out. The kids go wild! Shortly after the Easter bunny escapes the mob of kids, the Easter egg hunt begins. Whoever finds the golden egg, wins $1000.

It is believed that this particular year, the Easter Bunny missed his mark as he dumped the petals and a gust of wind carried them right into the wedding. Although it was a mess to clean up afterwards, it was the perfect touch.

I hope someone caught a picture of the couple as the colorful flowers fell around them. That would make such beautiful photo Christmas cards with quite the story to tell.
