I was looking though our photo album and realized we have been to many historical land marks as a family. From the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge; from Disney Land to Disney World – all of theses land marks are historic in nature. Some other places could include the following: the Eiffel Tower, the White House, the Victory Bell, Gettysburg, the Alamo, and the list could go on and on.

Why not create photo Christmas cards at places like this?

One thing I’ve really valued is teaching our children about history and how it can affect our lives.  I realized that, as we put pictures of historical land marks in our home, my two year old notices and asks what they are and why they’re important.

A person could create photo Christmas cards and decorate the refrigerator.  They could then use these same cards as a teaching moment for their children.

And the best news is that the cards would never get old.  They could be part of ones yearly decorations, a tradition you could pass on from generation to generation.  What a great way to celebrate the season while at the same time remembering our history.
