That’s right, crazy!  My spouse and I are running a 10 K race tomorrow.  (I should probably say “walking”.)  The thought crossed my mind, “We should take a pre-race photo, a half way point photo, and an end of the race photo and put it in our upcoming photo Christmas cards.
Here are some of my pre-race ideas:

• Waking up the morning of the race.  We could title this photo - “The calm before the storm!”
• Putting on our running attire.  Pulling our socks to our knees.  Lacing the tennies.  Head bands protecting our eyes from the beads of sweat that will soon be running down our heads.
• Packing our bags with plenty of water.  This may not be necessary, but we could take it for story effect of our photo Christmas cards.
• Loading up in the car(s).  I add an “s” because one of us plans to drop one car off at the end of the race so we’ll have a way back.  Wouldn’t that be awful if we had to run all the way back to our car at the end?
• Driving to the starting point of the race.  Drives like that are fun to look back on, especially after the race is over.
• Stretching.  Make sure you count to 10 while touching your toes!

I really think this photo Christmas card idea will be a fun collage effect for the 2008 Holiday Season.  I’ll see how I feel about this idea tomorrow after the race.
