So much can happen in a year. New jobs, new marriages, new houses, new children. Travels far and wide, to exotic locations, hometowns, and everywhere in between. And why not? Everyone has momentous occasions in their lives and it’s completely normal for people to want to share these newsworthy events with important folks in their lives like friends and family. And of course the Christmas cards are a perfect opportunity for this. You’re already putting together the cards, addressing the envelopes, and stamping the finished product … why not take the chance to share your good news or impressive accomplishments in a personal note to your cards’ recipients?

There’s no need to fret that it might sound like you’re bragging about your good fortune. Of course, you shouldn’t be including your bank account balances or current value of your house, but things like your son’s 4.0 grade average, your daughter’s having won the State swim meet, or your having started your own business all are things that your friends and family will be happy to read about in your Christmas card.
