Making Photo Christmas Cards a Collage

I’ve talked about this in other posts before but wanted to make sure readers understand that a photo Christmas card has no boundaries or limits.  Sometimes it gets boring to see the same layout for everyone’s photo Christmas cards.  Here’s what I suggest:

Assemble pictures around a theme. Several images from a camping or boating trip, a family vacation, or even a day to day occurence can be something new and creative. Each child in a santa hat can be fun but come on, don’t you have any orginiality?

Lay pictures out inside a square the same size as your card will be.  Fill the card with pictures to look at.  Why waist space with blank borders? Arrange the pictures so they will look nicely together. Then crop the images and fit them together in the square. It’s  like quilting or scrapbooking - you can blend, theme or do whatever!

Another idea is to have a picture in the center and then smaller ones around the perimeter.
