What’s your secret? What is it that motivates you, that keeps you sending out Christmas cards to friends and family far and wide year after year? It’s a simple question that often gets a myriad of answers from people, some with simple reasons and some with very complex ones.

Some folks enjoy sending out holiday greetings each and every year because it’s how they find they can best stay in touch with those far-away friends and family. They look forward to receiving Christmas cards come December and learning how old friends and distant relatives are doing, not to mention to see the latest family photo. As a result, these folks reciprocate and send out Christmas cards of their own, which they hope and expect their recipients will, in turn, enjoy as well.

Businesses (particularly smaller companies and those in service industries) also are big on mailing out Christmas cards each year. Clients and customers do like being thought of during the holidays and getting a Christmas card from a service provider does actually tend to make them think of, for instance, their lawn maintenance company in a positive way. Really, a great many businesses would do well to send holiday greetings each year.

Of course, there’s another type of Christmas card sender: the holiday spirit-spreader. People who send out cards with genuinely felt and sincerely expressed holiday greetings and well-wishes are among the most dedicated Christmas card senders each year. And there’s nothing wrong with that, not one bit.
