Design Crafters

Our 5th year anniversary may require a few posts because of all the fun things we did.  We started the 5 year celebration day early by enrolling in a local 10K.  The race started at 6:30 a.m. so we were awake and on the road at 5:30 a.m. to enable us to get one car to the end of the race.  We didn’t want to be forced to jog all the way back after a grueling 6.4 miles.

I know, a 10K is a bit crazy, but it was definitely a “bonding” experience.  We didn’t train at all and kind of did it on a whim, but it definitely provided great pictures for this year’s photo Christmas cards.  We had quite a hard time walking the next few days after the race but all in all it was quite the day to remember.

After our mini marathon, we came home, took a few snap shots for posterity, and then went to our local parade.  It was one of the biggest parades in our small towns history with over 110 entries.  Our children, especially our 2 year old, loved the parade.  We took some fun pictures of him running after the candy that was tossed his way: another photo Christmas card idea.
