We had a great time today at a huge barbeque with all our family. There were probably over 60 people there. Can you picture this? Photo Christmas cards here we come!

There are quite a few different opportunites for a fun photo Christmas card at a family and friend barbeque. Here are a few I thought about while sitting on a camp chair waiting for my burger to be cooked a bit more.

You always have the classic cook with the apron, the chef’s hat, and the spatula. I’ve never seen this before, but have you ever got a photo Christmas card with a picture on it of someone you don’t even know? That’d be a fun “gag gift” to send to all your close family members.

• What about an upclose snapshot of the hot dogs or brats fryin’ on the barby? Hmm, does it make your mouth water? It does mine and I just had a huge burger earlier this evening. This would definitely be a creative and clever way to celebrate the holiday season.
• If you like collage photo Christmas cards, another idea would be to take random shots around the family and friend event. Then put them in a “Best of the BBQ” photo Christmas card collage.
• A before and after pose. Take pictures of you and your family before the barbeque begins. Then, after you’ve all had more than your fair share, take another picture. On the inside of the photo Christams card you could say something like, “Be careful what you eat this holiday season” or something to encourage a chuckle.

I’m sure there are other possibilites. Do you barbeque year round or just in the summer months? Barbeques are a great place to take pictures - now use these pictures for variation in your photo Christmas card collection.
