I have a tip for all of you taking vacations to the beach this summer - make Photo Christmas cards out of your vacation photos!

I recently saw a photo Christmas card featuring a family decked out in shorts and swimsuits on the beach. They were all tan and buff. I’m not saying all of us have bodies worthy of the camera, but if you don’t mind, why not? Or, you could just focus on the kids in the picture.

Whatever you decide, don’t forget to pack the camera. Take many shots. Take some pictures of everyone in sunglasses. Take pictures of the kids building sandcastles, family members in front of a big wave, or other shots. There is always something soothing about a picture of people walking on the beach.

No matter what your beach photos look like, they will be welcomed on your Christmas card. They’ll arrive when the weather is chill and the days of summer are long gone for several months.
