Photo Christmas Cards on the Dock at Lake Michigan

Ok, here is what you’ve been waiting for - the details on my ideas for your photo Christmas cards. Here are some ideas of pictures you can take at Lake Michigan:

  1. On a dock, surrounded by million dollar yaughts. This would be a classic spot, especially if one of the owners would let you pose leaning against this “heavenly home”. Or even better, maybe you could talk them in to letting take a few shots in the yaught itself. Ok, I’m probably dreaming here, but you never know until you ask!
  2. On a dock, surrounded by a charter fishing boat. Ha, Ha! Not quite the same as the idea above but still. I’ve seen some really, really big fish come out of that small pond of Lake Michigan. You may even get permission from one of the professional fisherman to let you hold a 25 pound king salmon!
  3. On a dock, with a beatiful sunset in the background. With or without family or friends in the picture, this could be a photo Christmas card you use over and over again, especially if you have a few different poses to rotate on a yearly basis.
  4. On a dock, preparing for a long refreshing swim. Yeah right, that water is colder than ice. Maybe I would think about dipping in the water with a dry suit, but I doubt it.
  5. On a dock. This one may be boring, but if you’ve never been to Lake Michigan before, just standing on one of the thousands of docks surronding this ocean like lake could be perfect for a photo Christmas Card.

So have you been to Lake Michigan? Do you have any pictures that would make photo Christmas cards that you’d like to share?
