Yesterday I talked about the quarterback collision photo Christmas card.  I’m still grimacing at the thought of pain these poor quarterbacks go through on a week to week basis.  That’s why I love soccer, which I’ll talk about at a later date.

Another idea I had for photo Christmas cards involves another football hard hit.  It’s the pass up the middle to a super speedy and skinny wide receiver.  Although a pass like this can lead to a highlight film touchdown, in many cases this pass invites the safety and corner back to tag team their target of prey.

I’ve seen some great pictures in sports magazines with hits like this.  One that comes to mind is when a receiver jumped up to catch a pass thrown way above his head.  The safety hit him right at the knees and the receiver literally flipped over and bounced on his helmet.  What a way to remember the Christmas season - bells ringing in your ears over and over again!
