The Mad Cow That Stole Christmas
Mad Cow or Mad Owners?

Although this isn’t the mad cow I’m referring to in this blog, I wanted to share this moooving Christmas picture with you. I found it at http://www.vtliving.com/cow/Not too long ago there was a scare of Mad Cow disease when one cow found with the first case of the disease in America, sent the nation and CDC into a panic. It could have seriously and permanently damaged the beef industry, putting many ranchers and farmers out of business. Although the beef industry has made a financial come back (to the most part), it certainly affected the Christmas surrounding the scare to the point that many farmers started referring to it as “The cow that stole Christmas”. Not only were profits hit, but many people in the beef industry were so worried about the potential beef market crash, that they couldn’t even enjoy Christmas.
As serious as this issue was (and still is), it has sparked some enlightening humorous comics and jokes. You might even be delighted what you find by doing a simple internet search on “mad cow jokes”. Such as topic could certainly inspire some creative photo Christmas cards starring the “Mad cow”.
P.S. “The Center of Disease Control, states that only 153 people in the history of the world have ever contracted variant CJD and there is no proof that the disease was directly attributed to the consumption of contaminated meat products.”
