We have a golf tee time this morning at 7:00 a.m. so I thought I’d write about the photo Christmas card possibilities before they even happen. The Orchards is probably one of the best golf courses in Door County, and we’re headed to it! The name may not give it away completely, but this golf course is surrounded by orchards of fresh cherries. Perfect placement for a photo Christmas card.

Have you ever taken your camera to a really nice golf course? What a perfect place for photo Christmas cards! The scenic greens. The well cut fairways. The freshly raked bunkers. The huge divots you make after a really bad shot. Ok, maybe not that last idea so much, but you can picture the possibilities. Even if you don’t have people in the picture, the scenery can be perfect for a photo Christmas card.

Last year when we went to this course, we saw two white tailed deer running across one of the fairways. Unfortunately at that time I didn’t have a camera to capture the moment.

Another good thing about a golf course, especially early in the morning, is the dew that collects on the trees and grass before anyone has been there. Wouldn’t this be a great photo Christmas card too? The best thing is, you could take tons and tons of pictures and not worry about which year you use them. With no people in the picture, the shots can be used year after year. You could even photo shop pictures of your family in and use the beautiful green landscape as a back drop for your family pose. Just ideas. I’ll definitely have more after our round of nine today. Gotta run!
