Airplanes and Cruise Ships Being Revamped For Solar & Wind Power - Temporary Ticket Sales Suspension
The inevitable day has come that due to economic pressure, airlines and cruise lines are being forced to stop accepting more passenger bookings across the board. Temporarily that is. The rising cost of fuel is simply too much for these passenger carriers to absorb. While they have tried raising ticket prices to help with the cost of fuel, they have noticed a significant decrease in ticket sales. The regular “Joe, simply can not afford these prices. In a last stitch effort, they also tried lowering tickets to increase sales, but to their surprise there was not a significant increase in sales.
To help with energy consumption, both cruise ships to and planes are being completely revamped and outfitted for solar and wind power. These new and improved rigs will still have the option for regular fuel for those times when there isn’t enough wind and sun. Last thing the ship needs is to be sitting in lull for hours drifting around the ocean. Obviously for nighttime flying, solar power wouldn’t be an option. This idea will at least help lower the fuel expenditure and help lower the cost of tickets.
The first wave of these new and improved airplanes and ships are scheduled to be completed by April 25th. But in the mean time, if you were planning on taking your Christmas card photos in Hawaii, you’ll have to swim there instead. Before you get too sad, just think, 100 years ago we didn’t have such luxuries.
Happy April Fools!
