Christmas Photo With Prince Harry

Imagine being able to send Christmas photo greetings of you standing beside royalty. Not just any royalty, but famous royalty known by the world. Even more impressive would be a photo that reflects you fighting a war side by side in all the soldier gear. Not many people get to a picture with a prince let alone serve in a war with one. Major Bill Connor of the United States was lucky enough to have had the opportunity for both this past Christmas.

Major Conner served as the lead U.S. adviser in Helmand province (the “United Kingdom” area of responsibility within Afghanistan) along side of Prince Harry, third in line to the crown of the United Kingdom and second lieutenant in the Household Calvary Regiment of the British Army. According to Bill and other sources, Harry was very humble and wanted to be treated as a regular individual vs a prince.

Although Bill was sworn to secrecy and couldn’t send his picture to family members this past Christmas (to avoid revealing Harry’s location), his picture was run in The Times and Democrat and The State just days after Prince Harry returned home and was out of danger. What an opportunity! Perhaps this next Christmas he will be able to share those photos with his family.

Start Snapping These Wintery Scenes For Next Years Photo Christmas Cards

It’s understandable that some people may want to wait on taking next Christmas’ photo Christmas cards pictures. This can be especially understandable if they have young children who will change drastically in appearance in the next few months. Or perhaps they’re like my friend Liz who’s on a diet and wants people to see her when she’s “looking fine” (her words). But assuming there are going to be no people in your photo Christmas cards and you live in a snowy climate,  now is a great time to start snapping those winter scenes for next years photo Christmas Cards.

I actually ran across some of this winter pictures that are being submitted to an online photo contest that would make beautiful photo Christmas cards. They were taken by regular people like you and me with a regular digital camera, but they looked like they were professionally done.

If you get that perfect picture then you can even print off your photo Christmas cards early and be ready to go when the time comes to sending them out. Oh to be that organized would be so nice. But I know everyone out there is much more organized than me ;0).

If you don’t live in a snowy climate, that’s ok, you can still take your pictures early too. You’re photo Christmas cards picture will send “warm wishes” to those who could use a little warmth during the winter. It’ll give warmth or harbor jealousy ;0) Oh well.
