We’ve all heard the expression “opposites attract”. On the other hand we also know that we are often attracted to people that are much like ourselves.

There have been many heart warming articles and television shows regarding twins finding one another many years after being separated at birth and adopted by different families. Although they didn’t grow up together and often times didn’t even know the other one existed, they tend have very similar personalities. Maybe it’s something in their genetic makeup, or perhaps it goes deeper than our level of comprehension.

There have also been television shows showing the same connection with parents who gave their children up for adoption at birth. In many of these cases they all noticed an overwhelming attraction which eventually lead to the discovery of their true relationship.

Recently a young British couple met, felt a deep attraction, fell in love and got married. It wasn’t until later they somehow discovered their true relationship. They were twins separated at birth and adopted by separate families. First of all, what are the chances of accidentally meeting your long lost sibling you had no idea existed? Secondly, what are the chances of marrying your long lost twin? Needless to say they had the marriage annulled and remain just siblings.

The good news is, if they ever did photo Christmas cards they have now turned into “I found my long lost sibling” photo Christmas cards.
