More on Customizing Christmas Cards

There are many ways to customize your Christmas cards

We have been talking about ways to customize your Christmas cards, to make a particular card individualized for your business. We have discussed  using custom verses and logos but another way to be different in an elegant sort of way is to send a card that was designed to add a greeting as well as your company name to the front of  the holiday card. We call these, "Front Card Imprint" cards.

We have a special category of Christmas card that was designed for you to be able to choose from a number of selected greetings or you can compose your own right on the front of the card before it is even opened.

Some examples are "Season’s Greetings from…"
"Happy Holidays from…" "From all of us at…" Feliz Navidad de…" "Holiday Greetings From…" "Best Wishes for a Happy Holiday From…" "Wishing you a Joyous Holiday Season from…" you get the idea. You would then just add your company name. You also have an option to create your own short greeting and it is  presented in a lovely, classy looking font.

Not all of these cards are conducive to it, but we have even printed some company logos on the front of these cards. If you are wanting to show off your company logo, I think we have already mentioned in a previous blog that we have a "Logo Card" section in which you can have your logo printed inside the card along with your verse, end the logo shows through to the front of the card through a die cut opening. Of course any of our cards can have a logo printed inside. And yes, we can print two color logos (occasionally even three or full color) for a price of course. Each of these have to be individually priced after viewing each logo.

By the way, if you are already paying the fee to have your logo added to your card, we will gladly help you desgin and layout your own custom verse for no additonal cost and submit it all as one piece of artwork.

We offer all the design work to help you create your individualized masterpiece as a free service. We want to be sure that the presentation of your sentiment and company representation be one that people not only remember but even talk about.

Why the extra fee? Well, the printer charges us a fee to take the artwork we send him to burn a special plate with your special image which then requires a special setup on the printing press to print the inside of your card.

Check out all of our beautiful selections. Yoru really cannot go wrong with any of our cards.

Logo Christmas cards

The facts about displaying your company logo in your Christmas cards

We get so many questions about putting company logos in Business Christmas Cards that I thought I would try to explain the ins and outs of logos at this time. There are so many variations of what is possible and the pricing, while consistent with each feature can vary greatly depending on just what you need to have done.

The least expensive way to have your logo added to your Christmas card order is to submit a single color logo and have it printed in the same (standard) color as your verse and/or personalization. There is a printer’s charge of $40 whenever the printer has to burn a plate with your special image in order to print.

The word "standard" is important here as we offer standard ink colors such as red, blue, hunter green, burgundy, black, brown and in some cases gold and silver foil. Any color diffenent from our standard color results in a PMS charge which is $60 per color because it has to be specially mixed and then the press has to be washed up before anyting else can be printed on it.

If your logo has any shading in it as in from light to dark so that it isn’t a solid color but contains gradients of a color, that involves screening and your image has to be output to film. That results in a screening charge of $60. That is in addition to the $40 logo fee.

If your logo contains two colors, there is an additional $65 for the second press run. These cards are run on a single color press so a second color involves having to send the cards through a press a second time, resulting in more opportunity for waste and of course there is extra labor involved in running these through a second time.

If you have a large order, these charges may not seem so bad when your amortize them over the whole order, but if you have a small order,  you might want to reconsider and just have your company name printed after your verse, or if you can have you logo printed in just one of the standard colors, $40 is reasonable.

Any way you look at this, sending Christmas cards to all your customers and clients, even if you invest quite a bit in their production, is a very inexpensive form of advertising. It puts your company name in front of them with a special greeting of good will and appreciation.

You want to pur forth a great company image. The quality of our cards will give that great first impression, then when the cards are opened you have an opportunity to show great taste in how you present your company though the presentation of your message and your name and/or logo.

If you want to get real fancy, and if you have a really sharp logo you like to show off, we actually have "Logo Cards" in which your logo is printed on the inside of the card and there is a "die cut opening" in which your logo shows through to the front of the card. The are especially great if your logo is circular in shape as most of the openings are a circle. Check them out here.
