Nothing says the holidays like a little snow (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). Yes, snow can be a pain to drive in and it can make us cold and wet, but it can also create and remind us of some of our favorite memories.

Why not send out photo Christmas cards of your first ski trip? 

I once saw a funny example of this….

It was officially the Johnson families first ski trip with kids. The plan from the very beginning was to get a picture of the whole family at some point to add to the memory photo album.  Of course no one was going to pose for a picture as soon as they got there. They were too excited to go play in that snow.

As the day went on, one of the older kids smacked into a tree face first and escaped with only minor injuries to the face.  Another of the oldest children decided to sprain their arm somehow. The younger children were undamaged but very tired, sweaty and cranky. When it was time to call it a day, they took the picture.  It turned out to be quite comical. In the picture their eyes and mouths smiled from ear to ear with the exception of the one child whose scraped up face would only let him do a half smile. The other child had a sling on and the younger children’s hair were standing on end from sweat and winter hats.  Mom and dad looked emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted, yet were able to keep smiling.  Everyone loved the picture. It represented their family perfectly.
