Sock Monkey Photo Christmas Cards
“The Sock Monkey Lady” (Dee Lindner) had no idea how much of a hit her sock monkeys were about to become when one year she took a picture of them for her photo Christmas cards. She took the original sock monkey picture just after a winter snow storm which made everything look sparkly and beautiful. To complete the recipe for a “white Christmas” and to share the beauty of it with her friends and family, she set up the sock monkeys on some boughs amongst the snowy forest and took a picture. That picture ended up being such a success it inspired her to turn her sock monkey collection into not only a hobby, but a business too. She’s been taking pictures ever since and making money doing it. Who’d have ever thought?
She now has a full collection of sock monkey greeting cards of all kinds and seasons that are carried in many near by gift shops. It doesn’t stop there though. She has also gone on to become an author of popular gift books such as “Monkey Love,” and “Friends Knock Your Socks Off.”
This goes to show you that you never know when a great business idea will strike and a little creativity can go a long way.
